Welcome to Jung Sung Contemporary Korean. Located on the third level of the Old Rum Store on Chippendale’s Kensington Street, Jung Sung celebrates Korean cuisine in a whimsical, yet sophisticated way. Even for those who are accustomed to Korean food, this isn’t a familiar dining style. Instead, we offer a thoroughly modern with an aim to shift the current perception of the cuisine amongst Sydneysiders.

When it comes to the food, we are unequivocally committed to one overarching philosophy: marrying traditional Korean cooking techniques with modern methods using local Australian produce. Each dish combines the cultures of Korea and Australia. Our guests are invited to relish the flavours brought about by the patience of fermentation and ageing, juxtaposed against the freshest of ingredients. This is echoed through our drinks menu and wine list, which explore traditional Korean liquor, while also hero-ing some of the best Australian wines.

Each meal at Jung Sung is intended to be savoured. Settle in for a long lunch on the weekend, or visit after dark with four or six course set menu options for dinner. There is, of course, always an option to add matching wines or Korean Soju, for those who feel inclined to do so.

What’s in a name? In Korean, Jung Sung means sincerity or true heart.
